Homemade hummus

Get a refreshing taste of the Middle East with this cooking-free recipe

Take a break from baking and cooking with this easy-to-make, refreshing treat. Try using it as a dip for some fresh vegetables!

Serves: 4

Total time: 15 min

Ingredients:
  • 1 can of organic chickpeas
  • 1 lemon
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon of paprika
  • 2-3 cloves of fresh garlic
Prep/cooking instructions:
  1. Rinse chickpeas.
  2. Mince the garlic.
  3. Add chickpeas, water, garlic, lemon juice, and olive oil to the food processor.
  4. Blend the ingredients until you have a smooth consistency, adding more oil if needed. You could also consider using water, adding a teaspoon at a time.
  5. Pour the hummus into a serving dish.
  6. Sprinkle paprika on top to taste.

Additional tips:

  • If you don’t have a food processor, try using a blender
